I agree with what Justin Taylor says about this on his blog, Between Two Worlds:
Two thoughts as I watched the video through tears: (1) this would not have happened if sin had not entered the world; (2) they would not have responded this way if the grace of Christ had not entered their hearts.
God, give all of us this kind of sustaining, Christ magnifying grace in the midst of the terrible storms of this life. Help us to trust you when we cannot see or understand, because you have overcome the world. For you have spoken to us through your Son:
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. (Jesus, John 16:33)

As a mom of two sons…Jeff, you being one of them; if I only had one day of my life
with you in it, this would have been a gift of a lifetime. How blessed I am to have had ten thousand, two hundred and 59 days of you in my life up to this moment.
Our Lord God, we have no idea where we are going; we do not see the road ahead of us…..
Therefore will we trust you always……for you are ever with us….and you will never leave us to face our perils alone.
( taken and revised from Thomas Merton’s prayer )
I love you.
Mom
My wife and I watched this and bawled…looking forward to the next segments.
Jeff, hope your time in MN is incredible for you and your family. It will be fun to keep in touch.
Blessings,
This was so moving. I cannot even imagine what they had to go through! Thanks for sharing this, Jeff.
