I am jealous for you, brother. Though we have not had that long a season to fellowship I feel like a great resource is lost to me in your leaving. Selfish, I know, but it's true enough.
Since we met, all I have observed in you has been a steady, upward track for your soul. Your faith and practice are richer and more heavenly as each season passes, I've noticed. May this next step prove to be in keeping with the history of God's grace in your life, dear brother (O Lord, let it be so).
Without your presence nearby, I will feel less armed and less courage and less focused. Not that any of this is meant to deter your focus - but I"m just trying to say that you have been a sweet asset in my arsenal and a exemplar to my people of what burning zeal for the Lord actually looks like. I simply do not have many Jacob's in my arsenal.
The Day will prove our crossing was not a mediocre one, for then you will know just how much light was diffused in this season from your lamp.
With anticipation of a greater cup for you to overflow by, and also a selfish tear of regret that I have not been as much to you as your witness has been to me, I urge you to press on.
Until the Day...
