Piper must have read my blog before he preached. (Just kidding of course!) I'm glad that a man with such influence is warning us of how deadly our riches can be. May God save us through His beautiful son and keep us from such a snare! I feel the personal danger that I am in, living in this wealth we have here in America. So many people tend to gloss over that by saying essentially that it is only hard for a selfish, greedy rich man to be saved. But the truth is that it is hard for a rich man to be saved. Our flesh, the world, the devil, they make it hard enough already, why would we want to make it harder? Amen, Jeff, great post.
